Mike Coles has been a friend of the First Baptist Church of Cooperstown for some time, filling in as supply preacher on multiple occasions. He began as our settled pastor in October 2021. For the past 16 years, Mike has lived in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He has worked as IT support and a service analyst for Saint-Gobain/Certainteed and will be continuing in the IT field while pastoring the First Baptist Church part-time. He will be working for Otsego County here in Cooperstown. A decade ago, Mike began seminary at Palmer Theological Seminary at Eastern University. He attended part time, finally earning his Master of Divinity degree during the pandemic. A member of the Baptist Church of West Chester (Pennsylvania), Mike has partnered with the First Baptist Church of Cooperstown for mission trips to Haiti and Honduras and has been a member of the Zoom Bible study that has been meeting during the pandemic. In West Chester, he created an annual concert series, Feed Back, designed to raise money for the local food bank. Mike has a passion for outreach in the local community and beyond and is committed to extending the church beyond the walls of the church building.
